What are the basic qualifications for the fiance (K-1) visa?

The K-1 fiance visa requires that the U.S. citizen petitioner has met the alien fiance beneficiary in person within 2 years of the date of filing of the fiance visa petition, both have a bonafide intent to marry, and are legally able and willing to conclude a valid marriage within 90 days of entry into the U.S.
