Humanitarian Parole Immigration and Employment Authorization Update

March 17 2010 - The USCIS has issued a Fact Sheet regarding applications for Humanitarian Parole into the United States for otherwise inadmissible aliens. The Humanitarian Parole permits otherwise inadmissible individuals and those who do not qualify for visas to enter the United States temporarily due to urgent humanitarian reasons. Parole permits beneficiaries to remain in the United States and apply for work authorization for the duration.

Humanitarian Parole may be requested medical reasons (Medical Parole) and other compelling reasons that must be spelled out in the application and supported with documentation The USCIS Fact Sheet provides answers to the most common questions as well as the application process for the Humanitarian Parole. It also describes the period for which parole may be approved, work authorization and travel during the parole period.
