I-140s For Labor Certs Approved Before 7/16/07 Must be Received by Friday, 1/11/08

A Department of Labor (DOL) regulation posted on May 17, 2007 established a 180-day validity period for labor certifications. The regulation became effective on July 16, 2007. The rule makes all Labor Certifications approved before July 16, 2007 expire on January 12, 2008. The petitions must be received by close of business day on Friday, January 11, 2008.
