Workers' Compensation

Our attorneys represent individuals who suffered work-related injuries.  We represent clients in all aspects of such cases including settlement negotiations, administrative proceedings, motion practice and hearing/trial in front of an Arbitrator at the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission (IWCC). Settlement/Mediation Conferences

For a pre-determined fee, our attorneys will meet with prospective clients, review their documents, and prepare them for settlement and/or mediation conferences.  If desired, one of our attorneys will attend the conference with the prospective client in front of: 

  • Administrative Agencies such as EEOC, IDHR, HRC, CCCHR, CCHR, HUD, OSHA;
  • Administrative Law Judges;
  • Federal or state court judges or magistrates;
  • Private mediators as a agreed to by the parties;
  • Other mediators through various Alternative Dispute Resolution programs;

Representation and Disciplinary/Suspension Hearings

Our attorneys provide representation in matters involving internal discipline and suspension, where an employee is permitted representation by counsel. For a flat-fee, our attorneys will review documents and evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare a client to represent himself at such a hearing. If desired, one of our attorneys will accompany the client and provide representation at the hearing.

Our attorneys also provide representation for professionals who face discipline or possible license suspension due to alleged misconduct. Such includes proceedings and/or hearings in front of the Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation.

If a legal case proceeds to litigation, our labor law attorneys in Chicago will represent clients in all aspects of employment litigation during court proceedings, hearings and trials in:

  • United States District Courts (Federal Court);
  • Various Administrative Agencies such as: the State of Illinois Human Rights Commission (HRC), City of Chicago Commission on Human Relations (CCHR), and Cook County Commission on Human Relations (CCCHR);
  • Circuit Court of Cook County (State Court) for retaliatory discharge, sexual assault and battery, breach of employment contracts, non-compete covenants and defamation matters.
